Past Fundraisers 2018-19

Italy, Milano, December, 2018
Hatha Yoga Fundraisers
Roberta Trussi kindly donated the proceeds from two hatha yoga sessions, one for some young girls and their coaches from VARESINA Artistic Gymnastics and the other session for kindergarden children. Five hundred and ninety Euros were raised for the Hospice.

Switzerland, Lausanne, Devon, 3rd November, 2018
Hatha Yoga Fundraiser
As we did in the last years, on the 3rd November, Sadhana Yoga and friends organized a special event to collect funds for Ganga Prem Hospice.

A two and half hour Hatha Yoga lesson took place in our Yoga Hall in Lausanne, Switzerland, followed by a meal and people kindly and joyfully paid for this meeting.

It was a splendid Saturday and almost 20 persons were cheerfully present, happy to practice yoga and support the project.

Others students of ours, that couldn't be there at the event, still made their donation. Everybody felt concerned by your program and by cancer also, developing the feeling that we are all one.

So this year we raised 1'800.- Swiss Francs, more than in the past years and we are happy with the generosity of ours friends and students.

With the help of God, we'll organize a similar event on the 7th September 2019.

UK, Buckfastleigh, Devon, 20th-22nd July, 2018
2018 Devon Yoga Festival
We are pleased to announce the great success of the 2018 Devon Yoga Festival, which took place on 20-22 July. It was superbly organised by Duncan Huilan and his team at the Devon Yoga Centre - special thanks to James Russell and Jules Yount.

The Festival is an annual charitable event which, over the years has raised a total of £8066 for the Ganga Prem Hospice.

The residential venue was the Rill Estate near Buckfastleigh surrounded by lush Devon hills between Dartmoor and the coast and almost hidden by 80 acres of woods, fields and organic farmland. There are three light & spacious studios, a welcoming dining and social area with a wood burning stove and accommodation in en-suite twin rooms (some single rooms are available). In addition to the delicious vegetarian food, some of which may include organic food grown on the estate, there are walks to explore unspoiled woodlands.

The Festival was completely booked, the weather was perfect and the food was great - what more could a dedicated yogi ask!!?!! Attendees were able to choose to attend up to 10 workshops out of 30 workshops over the duration of the three day long weekend event, plus optional, early morning silent meditations and Kirtan on Saturday evening.
