1. The Ganga Prem Hospice monthly cancer clinic
in Rishikesh
Ganga Prem Hospice holds
a monthly cancer clinic in Rishikesh. The clinic
is held on the last Sunday of every month at the
Sardarni Nanki Devi and Punjab Sindh Kshetra Charity
Hospital. Dr Dewan, sometimes accompanied by Dr
(Mrs) Dewan or Dr Goel, sees an average of 90
patients at each clinic. The clinic begins at
9:00am and finishes between 1:00 and 2:00pm.
Most patients that come to
the clinic are from lower income brackets and
very much need the facility. Many people who come
are already suffering from cancer and many more
come with cancer symptoms. New cases of cancer
are diagnosed at every clinic and the patients
are directed to the correct procedures. As much
as possible, free medicines are distributed at
the clinic.
