Ganga Prem Hospice monthly Cancer Clinic in Rishikesh
The Ganga Prem Hospice holds a monthly cancer clinic in Rishikesh. The clinic is held on the last Sunday of every month at the Sardarni Nanki Devi and Punjab Sindh Kshetra Charity Hospital. Dr. Dewan, sometimes accompanied by Dr (Mrs) Dewan or Dr Doval, sees an average of 30 to 35 patients at each clinic. The clinic opens at 9.00 a.m. and finishes between 1.00 and 2.00p.m. Most of the patients that come to the clinic are from lower income brackets and very much need the facility. Many people who come to the clinic are already suffering from cancer and many come with cancer symptoms. At every clinic new cases of cancer are diagnosed and the patients directed to the correct procedures. As far as possible, free medicines are also distributed at the clinic.
