INDIA, Gohri Maphi, January, 2017 Last Touches to Construction Work at the Ganga Prem Hospice inpatient facility site approaches completion in January.
construction due to be completed by March, the worksite is a bustle of
activity. Multiple jobs continued simultaneously on all three floors as
well as around the grounds. The floor polishing work was completed on
the second and first floors, as was the wall painting work. All doors
and windows are now installed throughout the building. The plumbing
work was completed on the second and first floors and focus shifted to
finishing the remaining work on the ground floor, especially the
kitchen. The surface of the roof has been completed; only a final
polish remains which will reveal the marble-chip surface.

the building, the fire protection system and rain water harvesting
system is nearing completion and will soon be tested. The septic tank
is being filled with natural filtering materials beginning with large
round river rocks. A bore-well was dug at the site in January to take
care of the water consumption needs for the hospice. The roads and
parking areas have been leveled and compacted and have received the
first layer of cement; the brick walls for the shrine in the south part
of the grounds are complete, and work continued on the front boundary
wall. This wall features beautiful built-in blue-tiled lotus pools.
